I recently had an appointment with Rebath of

Travis County. The salesman came out to give me an estimate on my bathroom. He stayed at my house for almost three hours and would not leave. He kept pressuring me to sign a contract that night, explaining that if I did not, I would not receive the discounted price they were giving me, it would be more. I didn't even like the discounted price, let alone the price if i didn't sign that same night. He wanted almost $5000.00 to do this. That is just insane. I asked him where is the money in this kind of job. Can't be in the labor since they are at the job for just one day. Can't be in the material, I have been to Home Depot and know what the cost of a water tap and bathtub costs. I think everyone should be value for their money is this is just an overpriced ripoff.

Also, he told me that their company mayn't be willing to sign with us latter because they only come out once to do a contract if I decided later to use them for my bathroom remodel. Even when I told them that I felt pressured and that they were the first person I spoke to, he still pressed on. I told him I would like to get other offers and his whole demeanor changed. He threw his stuff into his bag and just walked out. This is like the movie "Tin Men". I thought there was a hidden camera somewhere. It just *** me off to think that someone thinks I or any consumer is *** enough to buy this *** today.

Monetary Loss: $5000.

Location: Grapevine, Texas

They were very nice but I could not afford the price they wanted so we went with another company for the new tile on the floor and walls including the bathtub. I talked to them latter and they wanted twice what we got the same Daltile tile installed.

only 1 complaint on the BBB, where you have to prove who you are and what the problem is...or if a problem really exists. Why only one complaint, that was handle to clients satisfaction?

My name is Brad Kemp. I am the owner here at ReBath of Travis County.

This review was posted on ripoffreport.com in 2008. At that time we rebutted the post (on ripoffreport.com) and were very suspicious due to the fact we had never met Mr.Paul Williams. Furthermore, Mr.Paul Williams, the day before posting this post in 2008, had given a glowing review for Rebath of California. We have since conducted a private investigation and it was determined that all these negative reviews came from the same IP address and that it was a competitor of ours that had posted many negative reviews about us throughout the internet using different names. In other words, a competitor of our company posted false accusations about our company.

Our company will never resort to posting negative reviews about a competitor in order to steer consumers our way because we pride ourselves on our integrity. Furthermore, our warranty, workmanship, and customer service is what drives our company to succeed, not resorting to posting lies about our competitors. If anyone has any questions or concerns, please contact me at 512-836-**** or bradkemp@***.net.

To all of my customers: I appreciate what sites like these provide for the consumer.

However, it is unfortunate that competitors can get onto these website and maliciously post false comments about any company. I have given my email address, and would like anyone who does have an issue with ReBath of Travis County to contact me personally.

We bought the tub liner 4 months ago, and this is the second time they will be coming for service call due to the huge bubble of water between their liner and original tub. This liner was not cheap!

We should just have bought another tub but acrylic looked nice and we thought it would be easy than removing and replacing the old tub. Big mistake. Now we have to chip out new tile and start all over.

It will cost us double. Just get yourself a new tub and do it right first time.

It was a long long presentation to only find out at the last that it was really high. My wife pushed for their free interest for a package which we were turned down.

The salesman said almost no one gets these loans.

Why do they offer them? We gave them a Home Depot card and he turned it down also after making a huge part the sale about how Rebath and Home Depot are the same.

Very disappointing, would rate in negative range if possible, and am irritated I have to give even 1-star to be able to post this rating. "Estimate" we received turned out to be an excruciating, 2-1/2 hour sales pitch, in which the "consultant" completely ignored the time frame we'd allowed for the "estimate" in our busy weekend.

In the midst of 3 million references to alleged awards and company specifics, I stated I didn't have concerns over the quality of the product, so I neither needed nor wanted the (tortuous) presentation to continue. Yet, it did. All I wanted was a price for a product I'd seen in the showroom, and researched a little on my own. What I hadn't researched, however, was the sales technique, which, in my opinion, included various mind games, and strategies to help the "consultant" gauge my degree of sucker-tude, which, it felt, seemed to be used to price our desired project.

C'mon, $7k for putting molded plastic around a new molded plastic bathtub? Ridiculous. We will not be using this product line in our home due to: 1). The obnoxious price; 2).

The feeling that the sales pitch was one-size-fits-all (once started, it couldn't be stopped, or modified, which I found irritating, and insulting), leading me to believe our project would be handled the same exact way, meaning, they'd give us what they'd give us, their way, period. I mean, if the product - and the service - is sooooo fantastic, why are prices such closely-guarded secrets, being revealed only after sales "hazing" is administered?

And, we didn't even learn a secret hand shake, even after enduring an "estimate" reminiscent of a time-share sales pitch, which at least includes a Vegas hotel room for your time. ReBath, there are plenty of other options available to me, and if you were the only show in town, I'd probably learn how to tackle this project myself, rather than have you do me the favor of taking my money.

Since March we have call RachaelwithReBath and each time she is a lunch or away from her desk. What sort of game is Rebath running?

I check the license board and one of the owners has an apprentice plumbing. In addition, since the first of the year only one master plumber can represent one company at a time.

They have neither.

Do not trust you home and your health to these people. Do not let them tell you it is just a repair and no license is required, that is just a flat out lie.

Guest

I do not believe a word of this! Expect those Kemp boys will even sue you for saying these horrible lies. Are you trying to ruin their company, say only positive things or it will upset their little heads filled with and showing a conviction of being morally superior, they must be bapist little heads.

It started out great but ended badly!

We first saw Rebath of Travis at a Spring Home and Garden Show in Austin and had them remodel our bathroom a couple of years ago. We actually live in Lee county and they came to the house without any problems. They did a super professional job and completed the work in the 2 days they estimated. That included removal of the old tub, leveling the floor for the new walk-in shower sytem, removal of the old sheetrock and replaceing it with proper green board. The tub is as beautiful and wonderful today as when it was installed. We would use Rebath again if we ever sell this home and need a remodel in another place. We recommend them to anyone asking.

But that was before, I must reconsider my previous review. I don't know if the company has changed owner or just does not care any longer. I have e-mailed them twice to ask for an upgrade of my installed shower unit. We want to go to glass doors and remove the shower rod and curtain. They did not bother to respond to me. Finally I called and spoke with a female and explained what I wanted to do and that they had installed the unit. She looked me up in their computer and confirmed my address and contact number. She set up an appointment for someone to come give us an estimate. Wonderful, but no one showed or called to reschedule. That was a week ago and they have still not contacted me. Will go to Lowe's or Home Depot for an estimate for the work. Maybe Rebath feels the job is too small and they are just sooooo busy they don't need any small jobs. Would be nice if they at least told me they were not interested.

Filing a new complaint about

A salesman from Rebath of Austin came to our home and spent 3 hrs. trying to sell us a new shower.

After 2 hrs., we received the cost and thought it was amazingly high! We said we'd have to think about it, but he kept trying to push for a sale. He asked nosy questions like what we did for a living before giving the price. My husband and I thought that was very unprofessional!

He said we could have a 10% discount if we decided to get them that evening. If we called him 2 weeks later, we wouldn't get the discount. After 3 hrs.

he left. We doubt we will use them.

I see where Re-Bath says the offer a great product at a fraction of the competitors cost. I'd like to know what fraction they are using?

I'm thinking 200%!!

I don't feel that $5500 for a tub surround & cover + plus a faucet I don't even like is worth anywhere near this kind of money. I still say they rip off old people!!

We saw them somewhere and they came out but their prices are more than we wanted to spend. We used Austin Tile and they did a really great job. We would recommend Austin Tile.

My brother-in-law had them quote him on a bathroom and the price was somthing like $18,000. I was at his house when he told me that and they called while I was there and dropped the price to $15,000 (if you can sign the contract before the end of the week).

I told him to just wait and they did call again with a special sale of $12,000. How can you trust a company who has so little confidence in their own price that the are willing to cut it in half. I wonder what their bottom number is going to be?

So, he finally decided to use New Concepts for $9,000. :?
